How to Automate Clearbit Slack Lead Qualification?

The schedule runs a Pipedrive lead pull for not archived records. For each lead, the related organization is fetched, the domain custom field is read, and Clearbit adds firmographic data like employees and revenue. Enriched data is merged back using the organization id, then a custom date field marks the lead as enriched. A filter keeps only leads that meet your rules, and a Slack message sends company name, website, revenue, and headcount to the channel set in the Setup node. Helper nodes list Pipedrive field keys so you can copy the IDs for the domain and enriched at fields.

How do you set it up?

  1. Import the template into n8n: Create a new workflow in n8n > Click the three dots menu > Select 'Import from File' > Choose the downloaded JSON file.
  2. You'll need accounts with Pipedrive, Clearbit and Slack. See the Tools Required section above for links to create accounts with these services.
  3. In Pipedrive, create custom fields: Organization field named Domain and Lead field named Enriched at with type Date.
  4. In n8n, open the Setup node and note the placeholders for your Slack channel and custom field IDs.
  5. Create credentials for Pipedrive: double click a Pipedrive node, choose Credential to connect with, click Create new credential, then follow the on screen steps. If using API Key, get it from your Pipedrive settings.
  6. Create credentials for Clearbit: double click the Enrich company node, create a new Clearbit credential, and paste your Clearbit API key from the Clearbit dashboard.
  7. Create credentials for Slack: double click the Send alert to Slack node, create a new Slack credential, and complete the OAuth prompts for your workspace. Allow message posting permissions.
  8. Name your credentials clearly, for example Pipedrive Prod, Clearbit Enrich, and Slack Sales Alerts to avoid confusion later.
  9. Discover your Pipedrive field IDs: run the Get all organization keys and Show only custom organization fields nodes, then copy the key for the Domain field. Do the same with Get all lead keys and Show only custom lead fields to copy the Enriched at key.
  10. Paste those keys into the Setup node fields and set your Slack channel name. Save the workflow.
  11. Adjust lead quality rules: open the Keep leads that match the criteria node and set conditions like minimum employees or revenue based on your ICP.
  12. Test end to end: execute the workflow once. Check that Enriched at is updated on a lead in Pipedrive and that a Slack message appears with company details. If no alerts, verify the organization Domain field is filled and that Clearbit returns data.
  13. Troubleshoot common issues: if Slack fails, confirm the channel name and workspace access. If no enrichment, ensure the organization domain is valid. Watch for Pipedrive API rate limits when testing many records.
