How to Enrich New CRM Accounts and Find the Best Contact?

When a new company is added in your CRM, this build enriches the account and finds the best contact to reach. It fills company fields like funding and traffic, then locates a qualified person and saves that person in your CRM with an email. Sales teams can use it to start outreach faster with better data.

The flow starts on a new company event from your CRM. It calls a data service to pull company details and a list of employees. It then splits the people into separate items, checks job title and a score to match your ideal buyer, finds an email, and merges the results by LinkedIn profile. It updates the company with enrichment fields and creates a new person linked to the company.

You can change the job title keywords and the score to fit your ideal customer profile. You can also adjust which company fields are pushed into custom fields. Expect shorter research time and fewer manual steps. It is great for SDRs and BDRs who need ready to contact records right after a company is created.

How do you set it up?

  1. Import the template into n8n: Create a new workflow in n8n > Click the three dots menu > Select 'Import from File' > Choose the downloaded JSON file.
  2. You'll need accounts with Pipedrive and Datagma. See the Tools Required section above for links to create accounts with these services.
  3. Open the Pipedrive Trigger node. In the credential dropdown, click Create new credential and follow the on screen steps to connect your Pipedrive account. Name the credential clearly for future reuse.
  4. Open the Pipedrive update and add person nodes. Select the same Pipedrive credential so all Pipedrive actions use one connection.
  5. Open the Datagma company enrichment node. In the credential dropdown, click Create new credential and follow the on screen steps to add your Datagma API key as query auth. Repeat for the Datagma find emails node.
  6. In the Datagma company enrichment node, confirm the data parameter uses the company name. Update the employeeTitle value with keywords for your ideal buyer, such as Head of Marketing or VP Sales.
  7. Open the If lead is Ideal Buyer node and change the job title keyword and the score value to match your ideal customer profile.
  8. Open the Pipedrive update organization node and review custom field names. Create matching custom fields in your Pipedrive account or adjust the field names in the node to existing fields.
  9. Open the Pipedrive add person node. Confirm email is mapped from emailDatagma and org_id comes from the trigger. Add any custom properties you want to store.
  10. Run a live test by adding a new organization in Pipedrive. Check the n8n execution logs. Verify the organization is enriched and a new person with email is added.
  11. If no contact is created, review the If node filters and try broader keywords. If the merge creates no items, ensure the LinkedIn URL exists on both sides. Check API keys, quotas, and Pipedrive permissions if errors appear.
