How to Convert YouTube Video to PowerPoint Presentation?

This automation takes as input a YouTube video URL, it gets transcribed with Supadata, then uses the Gamma API to generate a presentation with AI.

What are the key features?

  • Takes a YouTube video URL as input and extracts the full transcript using Supadata.
  • Sends the transcript to Gamma.app API to generate a professional presentation with AI.
  • Produces a ready-to-use PowerPoint file in approximately 2 minutes.
  • 5-node Make.com scenario that is simple to set up and maintain.
  • Works with any public YouTube video that has a transcript available.

What are the benefits?

  • Turn any YouTube video into a presentation in 2 minutes instead of hours.
  • Repurpose video content into slide decks for meetings, training, or sharing.
  • Save hours of manual slide creation and formatting work.
  • Generate professional-looking presentations without design skills.
  • Process multiple videos quickly for batch content repurposing.

How do you set it up?

  1. Import the Make.com scenario JSON file into your Make.com account by going to Scenarios, clicking Import Blueprint.
  2. You will need accounts with Make.com, Supadata, and Gamma.app. See the Tools Required section above.
  3. Connect your Supadata API key in the transcript extraction module.
  4. Connect your Gamma.app API key in the presentation generation module.
  5. Enter a YouTube video URL as the input to the scenario.
  6. Run the scenario manually. Supadata will extract the transcript and Gamma will generate the presentation.
  7. Download the generated PowerPoint file from the output.
  8. Review the slides for accuracy and make any manual adjustments to formatting or content.

How do you test it?

  1. Run the scenario with a short YouTube video (under 10 minutes) that has a transcript available.
  2. Verify that Supadata successfully extracts the transcript text.
  3. Confirm that Gamma generates a presentation with logical slide breaks and clear content.
  4. Test with a longer video to check that the full transcript is processed correctly.
  5. Try a video without a transcript to confirm the workflow handles the error gracefully.
