If it matches, the flow sends an auto response and adds the number to an opt out list in KlickTipp using the correct plus format.

How do you set it up?

  1. Import the template into n8n: Create a new workflow in n8n > Click the three dots menu > Select 'Import from File' > Choose the downloaded JSON file.
  2. You'll need accounts with WhatsApp Business Platform and KlickTipp. See the Tools Required section above for links to create accounts with these services.
  3. Open the WhatsApp trigger and send nodes in n8n. In the credential dropdown, click Create new credential and follow the on screen steps to connect your WhatsApp Business Platform. Use your Business Account and Phone Number ID. If asked for an access token, get it from your Meta developer app.
  4. Open the KlickTipp trigger and action nodes. In the credential dropdown, click Create new credential and follow the on screen steps. If an API key is required, create it in your KlickTipp account API settings and paste it into n8n.
  5. In the WhatsApp offer template node, choose your WhatsApp credential, set your Phone Number ID, and select your approved template. Map placeholders to first name, product, and link fields from your KlickTipp data.
  6. In KlickTipp, configure an Outbound tag action and paste the webhook URL from the KlickTipp trigger node so the event reaches n8n. Save and send a test outbound tag to validate.
  7. In your Meta developer app, add the n8n webhook URL from the WhatsApp trigger node, subscribe to messages, and complete verification. Send a test message to confirm the listener receives events.
  8. Review the Filter user messages node and keep the default condition that ignores automated messages so you avoid loops. Adjust only if your message structure is different.
  9. In the Cancellation check node, keep the STOP keyword or change it to your language. Make sure the rule checks the start of the message so accidental matches do not trigger opt outs.
  10. Open the Subscribe number to opt out node and set the correct KlickTipp list ID for opt outs. Confirm the number format includes a leading plus.
  11. Activate the workflow. Tag a contact in KlickTipp to trigger the template and verify the message shows the right name, product, and link with a working button.
  12. Reply STOP from the same phone. Confirm the auto responder is sent and the contact is added to the opt out list in KlickTipp.
  13. Troubleshoot delivery by checking template approval, the 24 hour window rules, webhook subscriptions in Meta, and that your phone number ID matches the sending number.
  14. If numbers fail, confirm the country code is present. The flow converts 00 to plus, so store numbers with plus or 00 format.
