A short wait protects rate limits. Finally, the company and score are saved to your CRM sheet.

How do you set it up?

  1. Import the template into n8n: Create a new workflow in n8n > Click the three dots menu > Select 'Import from File' > Choose the downloaded JSON file.
  2. You'll need accounts with Ghost Genius API, Google Sheets and OpenAI. See the Tools Required section above for links to create accounts with these services.
  3. In the n8n credentials manager, create a Header Auth credential for Ghost Genius API. Name the header Authorization and set the value to Bearer YOUR_API_KEY.
  4. Open the Search Companies node. In Credential to connect with, choose your Ghost Genius header credential. Confirm keywords, locations, company size, and Max Pages settings.
  5. Open Set Variables and enter your target keywords, ideal customer description, and any scoring hints used by the AI Company Scoring node.
  6. Make a copy of the provided Google Sheet in your Google account. In the n8n credentials manager, create a Google Sheets OAuth2 credential and connect your account.
  7. Open Check If Company Exists and Add Company to CRM nodes. Select the copied spreadsheet and the Companies sheet. Map columns for ID, name, URL, website, and score.
  8. Open the AI Company Scoring node. Create or select your OpenAI API credential. Keep temperature low for consistent scores and review the system prompt for your use case.
  9. Set a small test run by lowering Max Pages in Search Companies to 1. Execute the workflow manually and confirm results split correctly and the wait delays apply.
  10. Verify filters in Filter Valid Companies. Adjust follower threshold and website check to match your market size and quality bar.
  11. Check deduping by running the same search again. Confirm existing company IDs are skipped and not added twice.
  12. If you hit the 1000 result cap, refine the search by location or industry and run multiple batches. Increase the wait times if you see rate limit errors.
